Hi, I’m Carly!

I believe that – regardless of it’s an overnight camping trip to the next town, a jam-packed week at Disney, or a month long adventure across the globe – family travel is one of the most intentional, enriching, bonding, (not to mention educational) experiences a family can share. I know that family travel can feel complicated – with all the extra kid things, all the schedule shuffling and all the planning… but I’ve learned that it doesn’t have to be hard. Family travel can be easy – and I’m here to show you HOW to make it easy.

My husband and I met (nearly 20 years ago) while we were both traveling on working visas in Australia. (He’s English, I’m Canadian, so of course; we married in Cuba.) We travelled around the world together before we ever even thought of kids – New Zealand, the Cook Islands, Singapore, Thailand, Europe, Peru… anywhere and everywhere we wanted to go. When we moved into the parenting phase of life, we sort of put traveling behind us.

Then the pandemic happened. I won’t go into the details here (because I’ve already told this story) but the silver lining of the pandemic – for me, anyhow – was that it launched us into the wonderful world of family travel.

We were already experts at budgeting for travel, carry-on packing, flying, planning itineraries… but this time we got to learn it a whole new way:

With kids.

And with kids is so. much. better.
